About the Position

Job Title: Nursing Float Pool RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Experience with SERVO and HFOV vents Experience with tracheostomies, chest tubes, and inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) Experience with umbilical and arterial lines, drips Experience with NG, G-tube, and enteral feeds Description: Must be able to travel to multiple campuses. Assignments are posted 90-120 minutes prior to shift start. Facility is a Magnet Client with a Level 1 Trauma designation and Level III NICU. The hospital has a total of 234 beds. Patient population includes premature infants and unstable newborns requiring medical care and surgical interventions. Patient-to-nurse ratio is RN: 1:2 with no CNAs on the unit. Support services include Respiratory Therapy and Neonatology available 24/7. Nurses utilize bedside monitoring and a monitoring station for patient care. Each patient has their own stethoscope for infection prevention. Charting is done using EPIC, Pyxis, Alaris, and Phillips monitoring systems. Nursing staff may float to another appropriate unit, depending on census levels and if it is a suitable assignment. Weekend rotation is every third weekend. There are no on-call requirements. Time off requests must go through management for approval. Scrubs are provided for infection prevention.
