CNC Programmer/Operator
Responsibilities:
- Work from complex prints to program and machine parts of various materials (primarily stainless steel and common plastics) on our Haas vertical mills and Mazak CNC turning centers.
- Set and adjust work/tool offsets as necessary.
- Independently select and set up tooling and fixtures/jaws.
- Monitor the run of parts in the cycle and after completion to ensure that specifications and tolerances are met.
- Be proficient in using and understanding all common machine shop measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, ID/OD micrometers, etc.
- Train and mentor peers, when necessary
- Other duties as required by the Production Manager
Required qualifications:
- HS diploma or equivalent, technical school certification a plus
- I have 5+ years of CNC machining experience and am proficient in CNC turning. Mazak and Okuma's conversational programming is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of lathe and mill tooling/inserts
- Be able to properly follow verbal instructions and interpret technical drawings/sketches. Be proficient in understanding technical drawings and sketches.
- Work well with others and collaborate on cross-departmental projects.
