Job Opportunity – Stepdown Neuro Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 13, 2026

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; 12-hour shifts with every other holiday coverage required

• Stepdown neurology unit providing specialized care for complex neurological patients
• Night shift schedule with consistent 12-hour shifts
• Comprehensive orientation including ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments
• Progressive care unit experience valued but not required for qualified candidates
• Opportunity to work in a large academic medical center environment
• Extension opportunities available for up to 18 months for high-performing nurses

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Ohio RN license or Compact State license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in stepdown or neurology nursing
• Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
• All certifications must be active at time of application
• Professional reference from a nurse manager, supervisor, or director from within the past 12 months
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Completion of background check and fingerprinting requirements
