Tech - X-ray/Rad Tech

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides diagnostic radiographic imaging services to patients utilizing various imaging modalities. Ensures high-quality, safe, and efficient imaging procedures in accordance with clinical protocols and patient needs.

Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic radiographic, portable, C-arm, and fluoroscopic procedures accurately and efficiently.
Review patients' clinical history and confirm appropriate orders and lab results before imaging.
Educate patients on procedures and address their concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation.
Select and operate imaging equipment, adjusting techniques and exposure settings to optimize image quality.
Position patients properly to obtain optimal images while respecting their ability and comfort.
Follow radiation safety protocols, including ALARA principles, to minimize exposure to patients and staff.

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
Hold ARRT Radiography registration.
Possess a valid WI-DSPS radiographer license for Wisconsin-based work.
Maintain current AHA Provider level BLS certification.
Demonstrate proficiency in radiology information systems and PACS.
Comply with safety, documentation, and quality control procedures.
