Job Opportunity

Position: X-Ray Technician

Location: Janesville, WI

Schedule:

Wednesday - Saturday, 10 AM - 8 PM

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology (education verification required)
• ARRT Radiography registration required
• Wisconsin DSPS radiographer license required
• Current BLS certification from an approved AHA provider

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiographic, portable, C-arm, and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Review patients’ clinical histories to ensure appropriate orders are placed and labs are within required ranges; consult with the radiologist as necessary.
• Provide patient education regarding procedures and safety.
• Select and operate imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories effectively.
• Position patients to accurately demonstrate the anatomical area of interest while ensuring patient comfort.
• Initiate basic life support when necessary.
• Determine radiographic technique and exposure factors.
• Adhere to ALARA principles by employing precision in exposure factors and radiographic techniques.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
• Report and document X-ray safety incidents and adverse events according to protocols.
• Process images, ensuring proper identification and quality control.
• Utilize radiology information systems, including PACS, to complete all required records and reports; submit images and data for physician review and interpretation.
• Assist with medical record and image sharing as necessary.
