Job Description

The Neuro ICU/IMCU Registered Nurse will provide specialized care in both the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The role involves floating between these two units, managing a patient ratio of 1-2 in ICU and 3-4 in IMCU. Candidates must possess a strong background in neuro nursing to effectively support patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to neuro patients in a critical care environment.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU/IMCU nursing.
• Active RN license with verification through Nursys.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Skills checklist and detailed work history without gaps greater than 60 days are required.
• References from previous employers.
