Job Description

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery provides comprehensive patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of mothers and newborns through assessment, planning, and implementation of care. They coordinate with healthcare teams and educate patients to support positive health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' condition and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions based on physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel.
• Maintain accurate documentation and transcribe physician orders.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• Valid RN license from the State of Wyoming in good standing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Completion of Electronic Fetal Monitoring training within the required timeframe.
• NICU experience preferred.
