Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN License in Missouri Certifications: BLS from AHA only Must-Have Skills/Experience: - 2 years of Level 1 or 2 Trauma Experience - Scrub and OR Circulator experience Description: Position available in the Main OR. Flu vaccination or approved exemption is required for travelers from November 1 to April 1. Position involves providing care in a surgical setting. Assist with various surgical cases. Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care. Ensure professional accountability in patient care provision. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other team members. Coordinate patient care activities with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality. Perform responsibilities in a manner consistent with mission and service standards. Provide direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitor and coordinate patient care with ancillary departments to optimize comfort and care. Function within the scope of nursing preparation and established guidelines. Demonstrate strong skills in human relations and communication. Show clinical expertise in the assigned area of responsibility. Stand and walk most of the time while on duty. Lift and push patients as needed. Work in a clean, air-conditioned area. Required physical abilities include lifting up to 50 lbs and minimal kneeling or crawling.
