The Pipe Foreman will manage pipe a crew as they assemble, layout, install and maintain pipe systems on an industrial new construction. TYPICAL DUTIES: Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required Manage crew processes, scheduling, costs, employee relations issues, and employment needs. Identify all tools required for tasks. Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks. Illustrate in-depth knowledge of all pipe fitting processes. Tactically plan operations for scheduling workloads in crews efficiently utilizing assets and resources to minimize cost. Ensure all QA/QC requirements are met on assigned projects. Attend and represent the company on bid walks and potential projects. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Must have 5+ years’ experience with pipefitting processes for industrial construction, maintenance or new construction. 1+ years’ experience in a supervisory role. Good understanding of the craft environment being supervised and knowledge of basic hand tools. Must be able to pass the Craft Skills Test at or above 70% or have the NCCER certification for your craft. Must have a good understanding of Matrix Service policies and procedures. Must complete the Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client / Site specific training. Obtain and maintain active status within the required drug testing program Subject to random drug screenings. Must pass a Background check. PHYSICAL/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting. Will talk and hear to communicate. Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls and tools. May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs. Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements. Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE Washington law requires pay information in job postings. The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay. As such, the actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of this range, and in certain circumstances, may fall outside the listed hiring range.
