Adfinis is an international IT service company based in Switzerland, currently employing around 150 staff worldwide. As open-source specialists, we have been driving digital transformation through open standards and technologies for over 25 years, creating a world of innovative, sustainable, and resilient IT solutions based on reliable open-source technology.

Our German team, currently consisting of five people, works closely with clients to support them on their organizational and technical journey into the cloud-native world. We design, build, and operate critical IT infrastructures using modern cloud-native technologies.

Tasks

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior System Engineer. In this role, you will lead complex customer projects for customized cluster, container, automation, and CI/CD solutions and coordinate various stakeholders.

• Think through and validate requirements thoroughly
• Design and optimize cluster solutions and container platforms
• Perform and standardize complex maintenance tasks
• Establish clean documentation standards
• Technically coach and accompany customers in the long term
• Resolve escalations directly and optimize technical workflows
• Evaluate professional engineers and develop assessment processes

Qualification

Your expertise:

• Design segmented multi-zone networks with access and routing controls
• Conduct hardening assessments for container platforms and services
• Resolve system failures and design resilient architectures
• Set up secure pipelines in the DevOps lifecycle
• Present tech topics confidently to a new audience in German and English

Your profile:

• 5 to 8 years of experience as a system engineer in the cloud environment
• In-depth knowledge in Container & Cloud (Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, OpenShift, SUSE Rancher, Helm, Argo CD), Automation & IaC (Terraform / OpenTofu, Ansible), Security (Vault / OpenBao, DevSecOps) and CI/CD & GitOps (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Argo CD)
• German and English language skills at C1 level

• Set up smart workflows, monitor goals, and manage risks
• Engage with important stakeholders and balance interests skillfully
• Analyze customer needs precisely and develop suitable solutions
