Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll play a vital role in the rehabilitation process. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting licensed Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans directed towards orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Delivering hands-on therapy that encompasses therapeutic exercises, functional mobility training, and manual therapy techniques, tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• Monitoring patient progress meticulously, documenting changes, and reporting these developments to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Instructing patients and their families on proper exercise techniques, self-care strategies, and lifestyle modifications to promote health and recovery.
• Collaborating with our interdisciplinary healthcare team, which may include physicians, occupational therapists, and administrative staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Upholding meticulous patient records and adhering to compliance standards, including HIPAA regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on a diverse patient population experiencing a range of orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, chronic pain, and rehabilitation after trauma. You will work closely with patients of all ages, guiding them through their recovery journeys with compassion and expertise.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistants.
• A current and valid PTA state license to practice in New York.
• A minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic setting, showcasing your ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong foundational knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology specific to physical therapy.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and fellow healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
