On-site call coverage weekends nights 7 am to 7 pm day shifts and 7 pm to 7 am night shifts Are there specific dates needed? If call is involved what is call volume? How often do they get called back on-site? Call/Rotation schedule? Will they take an APP or SFA when applicable? There is an app opening for this site Who should be the timesheet approver each week? What are expectations for orientation? ie shadow day? EMR training? our standard protocol Candidate Parameters Any specific fellowships/ certifications/ procedures/ competencies we are looking for? no Experience level? Need hospitalist experience Credentialing questions: Will emergency privileges be an option? Yes Are case logs needed? If so what are the requirements? Per credentialing Hospital/unit questions Number of beds? 532 Census? Hospitalist carry about 75 of census How many daily admissions? Are there any consults and if so how many per day? There is a consulting physician. He sees anywhere from 12 to 20 a day What’s the patient population? Trauma center? Types of cases? Acuity? No trauma but does have ICU/ Stroke/ STEMI? Transplant cellular therapy What does the support staff look like? Well staffed hospital with all subspecialties How will follow up cases be handled? when applicable- inpatient or outpatient Specialty Specific Questions: What are the shift times? 7 am to 7 pm or 7pm to 7 am Is call involved? no How many patients are they rounding on per day? 20 to 22 Will they round in the ICU? yes What does support staff include? Are procedures and vent management required? No there are intensivist What specific procedures are required? Daily census? Hsotpiialist census I around 370ish Do the teams do grand rounds? Teaching teams do North Florida is highly specialized 532 bed hospital STEMI/ Stroke/ TCT/ Complex Cardiac Center. It has GME teaching program.
