Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Hospital Medicine Physician for an ongoing Nocturnist locum tenens opportunity in Gainesville, Florida . This is an opportunity to practice within a highly specialized inpatient environment with comprehensive subspecialty resources, dedicated intensivist support, and an established teaching program.

Coverage is anticipated to begin December 8, 2026 , with an expected need extending for approximately one year .

Practice Environment

Join a substantial Hospital Medicine program within a 532-bed, highly specialized hospital where the hospitalist service manages approximately 75% of the inpatient census , representing roughly 370 patients .

The hospital supports complex inpatient medicine with:

• ICU services with intensivist coverage
• Stroke care
• STEMI and complex cardiac care
• Transplant and cellular therapy services
• Comprehensive subspecialty support
• GME teaching teams

Hospitalists round in the ICU, while procedures and ventilator management are handled by intensivists , allowing the nocturnist to remain focused on Hospital Medicine.

Candidate Requirements

• Active Florida medical license
• Active Florida DEA
• Previous Hospitalist experience required
• Clean credentialing file
• Ability to work 7P–7A nocturnist shifts
