Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with 8 12 years of strong backend development experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Azure Cloud, SQL, and PostgreSQL .

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable enterprise backend applications while ensuring high performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.

Required Technical Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in backend application development.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot .

  • Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and distributed systems.

  • Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and third-party APIs.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud services.

  • Strong database experience with SQL and PostgreSQL .

  • Experience with application performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.

  • Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices .

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and coding best practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes .

  • Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.

  • Exposure to cloud-native application development.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

  • Knowledge of enterprise application security and secure coding practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot .

  • Develop and enhance Microservices-based applications for scalable and resilient enterprise solutions.

  • Design, develop, and integrate REST APIs and third-party services.

  • Analyze and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

  • Work with Microsoft Azure Cloud for application deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

  • Design, develop, and optimize database solutions using SQL and PostgreSQL .

  • Troubleshoot complex application and production issues and implement permanent solutions.

  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding and development standards.

  • Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Teams, QA, DevOps, and other technology teams .

  • Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and technical discussions.

  • Follow CI/CD, DevOps, security, and software engineering best practices.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
