You will need a strong C++ background and a solid grounding in understanding the nitty-gritty of a trading system - examples include execution technology (EMS/OMS), concurrency, low latency optimisation or market data. Naturally, your background will be within financial services. You know how to lead technically and you are comfortable running autonomously without needing a lot of hand-holding.
