Diesel Mechanic
SD TRUCK WORLD INC
SD Truck World is seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team! We operate a modern fleet of Freightliner and Volvo tractors along with Dry Van trailers. We are looking for someone who takes pride in performing quality repairs while keeping our equipment safe and road-ready!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventative maintenance services on trucks and trailers. Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, brake, steering, cooling, and air systems. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic software and tools. Complete DOT inspections and ensure equipment complies with federal and state regulations. Repair lighting, ABS, tires, wheel seals, air leaks, and trailer components. Maintain accurate repair records and communicate equipment needs with management. Respond to roadside service calls when necessary. Ordering or recommending parts. Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe.QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, air brake systems, and trailer repairs. Ability to diagnose problems efficiently and perform quality repairs. Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively. Valid driver's license required. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions.WHAT WE OFFER
