Class A Yard Driver / Material Handler

Join our team in Golden Valley, MN, as a Class A Yard Driver / Material Handler. This full-time, on-site role operates Monday to Thursday from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM with rotating Fridays. As a Customer Delivery Representative for recycling, you will operate equipment to collect used oil, oily water, antifreeze, off-spec fuels, and containerized wastes safely and efficiently. You will also engage in customer service, manage material security and quality, and load/unload trucks for delivery.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload trailers with raw materials and finished goods using forklifts and RF/DSI scanners.
• Complete necessary shipping documentation, including pack lists and bills of lading.
• Operate within Warehouse Management Systems, with a preference for JDE.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain organized workspaces.
• Shuttle trailers between facilities on local routes, positioning them at dock doors and within the yard.
• Track trailer inventory and maintain DOT compliance records.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements.
• Maintain logs and ensure proper licensing and certifications.

Essential Skills

• Possession of a valid CDL A license.
• Experience with sit-down forklifts.
• Proficiency in material handling.
• Ability to operate RF/DSI scanners.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse and forklift operations.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems, preferably JDE.

Work Environment

This role requires physical activity, including frequent walking, climbing, and standing while fueling equipment. You must work in various weather conditions and handle lifting hoses and fittings up to 50 lbs, with hoses weighing 50100 lbs. The driver must remain present during loading/unloading and deliveries.
