Specialist Business Analyst - Hybrid

Specialist Business Analyst Genesis10 is currently seeking a Specialist Business Analyst - Hybrid (3-5 days/week onsite) with a Major Financial Services Firm located in McLean, VA. This is a 6-month contract opportunity. Pay rate range: Up to $62.28 hourly. This role will function as a liaison between business and technical teams within the mortgage industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for requirements gathering, process design, and support for the full project lifecycle, including UAT. This position requires strong data analysis skills with tools such as Snowflake, SQL, Python, and Power BI for reporting and building data solutions. Responsibilities: Work as a business analyst in the mortgage industry Interface between business and technical teams Understand different work streams, support, forecasting, governance, and controls. Gather requirements and design process/data flows Create technical specification designs Translate business requirements to technical requirements, define project objectives, and perform feasibility analysis Support development, systems integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) Create and document UAT test strategies/plans and test cases/scripts Utilize knowledge of manual and automation testing Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2-4 years of experience in product/business analysis, product operations, or a related role supporting technology delivery Proficient with Atlassian software suite (Jira, Confluence) or similar agile management tools Experience working with agile delivery teams (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience in the broader financial services industry is required Strong experience with Snowflake, SQL, and Python for data querying and building data solutions Hands-on Power BI skills for dashboarding and visualization Excellent communication and analytical skills Desired skills: A background in finance is preferred Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
