Relationship Manager – Commercial Banking / CRE South Bay / Los Angeles Market Compensation $155,000 – $228,000 Base Salary + Annual Incentive Opportunity Actual compensation will depend on experience, production history, credit background, and overall fit. Overview A well-established and financially strong regional bank is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to join its growing Commercial Banking team in the South Bay / Greater Los Angeles market. This role is ideal for a commercial banker who enjoys relationship-driven banking, has strong credit acumen, and wants the flexibility to grow a portfolio across Commercial & Industrial (C&I), investor commercial real estate, deposits, treasury management, and related banking services. The bank offers a collaborative environment with broad product capabilities, a stable credit culture, and an entrepreneurial platform that allows bankers to build relationships without heavy territorial restrictions. The incoming Relationship Manager will inherit an existing portfolio of relationships while also being expected to develop new business opportunities throughout the market. Responsibilities Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial banking relationships Generate commercial loan, deposit, and treasury management opportunities Expand existing client relationships through cross-selling of bank products and services Structure and negotiate commercial and investor CRE lending opportunities Partner with credit administration and underwriting teams throughout the approval process Advocate for clients internally while maintaining sound credit standards Develop relationships with centers of influence including CPAs, attorneys, brokers, and business owners Participate in networking, community, and business development activities Maintain strong customer service standards and long-term relationship retention Work closely with internal product specialists including SBA, equipment finance, merchant services, wealth management, and treasury teams Ideal Background 5+ years of commercial banking or commercial real estate lending experience Experience managing commercial client relationships and developing business Strong understanding of commercial credit and financial analysis Ability to source and structure C&I and/or investor CRE transactions Experience with deposits, treasury management, and relationship expansion preferred Existing business relationships within the Southern California market preferred Strong communication and client relationship skills Bachelor’s degree preferred What Makes This Opportunity Different Existing portfolio provided Strong credit support infrastructure Flexible calling model with limited territorial constraints Ability to pursue both C&I and investor CRE business Stable institution with long-tenured leadership and employees Broad product platform including SBA, treasury, merchant services, and wealth management Multiple paths to incentive compensation including loans, deposits, fee income, and cross-sell opportunities Entrepreneurial culture without excessive bureaucracy Compensation & Incentives In addition to a highly competitive base salary, the bank offers: Annual performance bonus opportunity Incentive compensation tied to profitability and relationship growth Additional earning opportunities tied to treasury, fee income, and cross-sold services Location South Bay / Los Angeles market Hybrid client-facing role with regular in-market business development activity. #J-18808-Ljbffr Gilder Search Group
