As we scale toward $100M+ ARR, you will partner with leaders across the business, translating operating plans into actionable budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.Reporting to the Senior Director of FP&A, this role blends hands-on modeling and analysis with cross-functional partnership, giving a broad visibility into the company's financial operations and a strong platform to grow your FP&A career as the team scales.Strategic Partnership: Partner with department leaders across the business to develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, providing strategic guidance on resource allocation and cost optimization.Metrics & Reporting: Build and maintain reporting suites tracking key business and financial metrics, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the organization.Corporate FP&A Support: Support the Senior Director of FP&A in running the annual operating plan (AOP) and quarterly forecasting process. Develop and own models to inform headcount planning, budget allocation, and resource prioritization.Investment Optimization & ROI Analysis: Evaluate the return on key corporate investments such as product development, AI projects, pricing models, and strategic initiatives to drive scalable growth and maintain strong unit economics.Executive & Board Reporting: Help prepare financial materials for executive leadership and board meetings, working with the Senior Director of FP&A to translate data into clear, actionable narratives.System Improvements: Support ongoing improvements to financial systems and data integrity to help maintain a single source of truth for key metrics.What You BringExperience: 8+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally including exposure to a $100M+ ARR B2B SaaS company.Industry Knowledge: Understanding of license, SaaS, and consumption/usage-based business models, ideally within Database, Infrastructure, or Developer Tools spaces (e.g., Snowflake, Datadog, Databricks, AWS-style models). Exposure to AI-related business models is a plus.Technical Skills: Advanced Excel financial modeling skills (driver-based modeling); working knowledge of SQL, BI & AI tools; familiarity with Salesforce and cross-functional business processes.Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear insights for cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or CPA a plus.Why Join Us?Impact: You will directly shape the growth strategy of a fast-growing database startup.Visibility: You will work intimately with the leadership team.Growth: This is a career-defining opportunity to build the FP&A team and establish the processes, systems, and culture for the finance function and we scale toward $100M+ ARR and beyond.We work in a hybrid model, with the team together in our Sunnyvale office 2–3 days per week.We feel strongly about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one way to help achieve that. The cash compensation for this role is market competitive, with a range of $150,000–$200,000 USD OTE. As well as equity (when applicable), and benefits including health plans, retirement plans, and unlimited paid time off (PTO). The pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
