Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, polished, and personable Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits and understands that bartending in a private club is about much more than preparing drinks. Our bartenders build relationships with members, anticipate preferences, maintain a welcoming atmosphere, and consistently deliver professional and personalized service. The bartender serves as an important ambassador of Quail Ridge and plays a key role in creating an environment where members feel recognized, comfortable, and well cared for.

Key Responsibilities /Essential Functions

• Provide warm, professional, and personalized service to members and their guests.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and other beverages according to Quail Ridge standards.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain consistent quality, presentation, portion control, and speed of service.
• Engage with members in a friendly and professional manner while maintaining appropriate boundaries and discretion.
• Learn and remember member preferences whenever possible.
• Anticipate member needs and provide attentive, proactive service.
• Accurately enter and process beverage and food orders using the club's point-of-sale system.
• Communicate effectively with servers, culinary team members, managers, and other Food & Beverage staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout the shift.
• Complete proper opening, closing, cleaning, and restocking procedures.
• Monitor inventory and communicate shortages or product needs to management.
• Maintain proper glassware, garnishes, mixers, ice, and bar supplies.
• Ensure beverages are presented attractively and served at the appropriate temperature.
• Follow all responsible alcohol-service policies and applicable laws.
• Verify identification when required and appropriately address situations involving intoxication.
• Assist with private events, member functions, and special club activities as needed.
• Handle member concerns with professionalism and involve management when appropriate.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion when interacting with members and guests.
• Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 12 years of bartending experience in an upscale restaurant, fine dining establishment, private club, luxury hotel, or high-end hospitality environment required.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and beverage service.
• Knowledge of classic cocktail preparation and proper bartending techniques.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, polished, and approachable demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency during busy service periods.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of service.
• Strong knowledge of responsible alcohol service and applicable regulations.
• Ability to develop genuine relationships with members while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
• Strong team player with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Current food safety and responsible alcohol-service certifications preferred or required based on applicable regulations.
