Senior Application Engineer - Protection

Description This position supports potential and existing customers in the technical application of Basler products. Remote positions available. Knowledgeable about fundamentals of most applications and how our products apply. Functions independently. Reports to: Product Line Manager Write application notes. First line of contact for the internal Technical Sales Support group related to application questions. Ability to test the product in the application. Have direct interactions with customers both remotely and in person once detailed application-related questions arise. Draft training material for internal and external use. Provide marketing input to the Product Line Manager from Sales and Customer interactions. Draft marketing material in conjunction with the Marketing Communications group. Attend industry conferences and participate in industry societies. Conduct webinars & customer training seminars. Attend internal Basler training and coordination events. Support sales to complete customer acceptance of Basler product use: Answer application and product related questions prior to sale. Provide training on product & application basics to sales and target customers. For large or nuanced opportunities, communicate detailed technical information to proposal team or PLM for quoting. This may require a visit to the site. Answer application related questions as they arise. Perform other tasks as assigned. Requirements BSEE, professional experience, or technical experience. Travel up to 40%. Power system experience. Familiarity with power system simulation and coordination software. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Compensation We anticipate filling the Sr. Application Engineer position with an expected compensation range of $96,000 – $113,000. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
