Security Officer

Position Summary As a Security Officer, you are responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and controlled environment for residents, visitors, clients, and staff. You will monitor premises, enforce policies, and respond to incidents while providing professional and courteous service at all times. Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to the following: · Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security of the premises. · Control access points and verify identification of residents, visitors, and vendors. · Prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security risks.

• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
• Write detailed daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or unsafe conditions.
• Enforce property rules, regulations, and post orders.
• Provide assistance and directions to residents, guests, and visitors.
• Maintain communication with management, staff, and emergency services

when needed. · Conduct routine inspections of the property and report maintenance or safety issues.

• Ensure all safety procedures and emergency protocols are followed.
• De-escalate conflicts and handle situations in a professional manner.
• Remain alert and attentive at all times while on duty.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in security or related field preferred.

• Ability to write clear and accurate reports.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and

holidays.

• Reliable transportation to and from assigned workplace.
• Valid Class D License or ability to obtain required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to respond quickly to emergencies.

Compensation: $17.00 per hour
