As a Security Officer Unarmed Retail in Fort Lauderdale, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $15.24 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by observing incoming and outgoing foot and vehicle traffic, verifying credentials when required, and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Support loss prevention and operational continuity efforts by reporting damaged doors, gates, trailers, lighting, and/or other conditions that could affect daily distribution activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
