R&D- Technician II

Job Description Complete color matches and perform tests on products and samples and assist with panel requests as required. Responsibilities may include analyzing basic formulas, performing calculations, and preparing and testing a range of technologies and methods. The R&D Lab Technician II is distinguished from the R&D Lab Technician III by performing less complex tests and formulation, operating under general supervision, and providing smaller scale support with fewer technologies and methods. Responsibilities Contributes to the execution of experiments, draw conclusions, and make recommendations. Comply with test methods according to set standards. Document all formulation processes. Function with sustained supervision and write simple reports, outlining procedures used and the results obtained. Complete proper forms and documents when necessary. Attend quality, safety, technical meetings and seminars as necessary. Comply with all safety and security regulations, and maintain a clean work area. Communicate with internal as well as external customers. Manage work in accordance of timetable goals. Adhere to company safety and quality standards at all times. Additional duties as assigned. Organizes work to use time efficiently. Seeks assistance on priorities for scheduling work. Verbally communicates routine information to supervisor and others in platform. Is receptive and attentive to instructions. Recognizes routine requirements and selects proper, simple procedures for obtaining desired results to solve problems. Possesses basic ability to analyze data. Independently performs basic tasks as outlined by supervisor or others. Operates basic equipment. May assist with more complex operations or tasks. Uses computing tools to capture and record data. Basic Qualifications Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1, etc.). High school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age.Must have 6 months of lab experience. Knowledge of basic math skills. Computer knowledge for basic inputting, communication, and data analysis using Microsoft Software applications. Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to determine the difference between colors so you can correctly tint paint to the colors desired by customers. Lab equipment knowledge. Experience prioritizing daily project tasks. Experience working with a basic understanding of the commercialization process. PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and other applicable applications. Experience communicating with co-workers to provide and receive direction. Experience adapting and changing quickly in response to new situations/demands. Preferred Qualifications 1 or more years of experience in a laboratory. Application Knowledge in coatings.
