Job Description

Job Summary:
The Surgical Tech is responsible for assisting in surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, sterilizing equipment, and supporting surgical staff. They ensure a sterile environment and provide technical assistance during surgeries to promote patient safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and supplies.
• Sterilize and organize medical equipment for procedures.
• Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies.
• Transport patients as needed and help with turnover cleaning between procedures.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Support anesthesia and nursing staff as required during surgeries.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of experience scrubbing cases in a hospital setting.
• Hold a valid Hawaii Surgical Technologist license by the start of the assignment.
• Demonstrate proficiency in handling various surgical procedures including Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetrics, and Gynecology.
• Be able to work flexible hours, including variable shifts and on-call rotations.
• Show strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
