Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency care to adult patients in a fast-paced ER environment. Deliver lifesaving interventions, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with hospital staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions rapidly upon arrival and prioritize care based on severity.
• Administer emergency treatments including IV therapy, ventilator management, and medication administration.
• Interpret cardiac monitoring data and manage dysrhythmias effectively.
• Utilize EPIC for accurate charting and documentation of clinical actions.
• Float within clinical skillset to support various ER units as needed.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and triage protocols to ensure safety.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active New York Single State RN license.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of ER nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with IV therapy, ventilator management, and neuro-trauma care.
• Have valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, including NIHSS documentation.
• Be willing to work rotating shifts, including every other holiday and weekend.
• Be located outside a 75-mile radius of the facility.
