Electronics Mechanic Leader

Summary

You will serve as a Electronics Mechanic Leader in the Production Resources Department Electrical Shop of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

• You will be responsible for receiving evaluating and implementing work assignments received from the supervisor.
• You will assure the compliance of safety regulations and practices.
• You will receive correspondence prepare reports order materials review test memos and inspect work.
• You will recommend assignments of personnel to ensure skills training is optimized using current ships availability and schedule.

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience not necessarily the length of time.

- Performing highly skilled and qualified work on equipment such as Sonar Radio Radar Navigation and Fire Control systems.
- Reading utilizing and working from complicated blueprints diagrams technical manuals and electronic schematics.
- Ability to interpret form tables job orders and test memorandums.
- Assuring that necessary plans material and tools are available to accomplish the work.
- Ability to use large variety of tools and test equipment.
