Activities Director - Temporary

Overview Our senior living is currently seeking an Activities Supervisor to join our team of dedicated professionals who want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, their families, and our community. Responsibilities Plan, implement, and oversee the Activities program for residents. Work in conjunction with the Activities staff to create a daily and monthly calendar appropriate for all care levels, including events that encourage resident individuality, participation and leadership. Ensures that the activities program promotes a feeling of independence, a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment for residents. Provide a well‑balanced daily and monthly calendar of programs and events of interest to the residents. Routinely seek and incorporate resident feedback on activity likes/dislikes and suggestions for future programs. Establish and maintain community partnerships to offer a wide variety of choices for residents and collaborate with other organizations/businesses for joint programming. Provide opportunities for residents to engage in volunteer projects in the surrounding community. Ensure that activity supplies are ordered and available for use. Transport residents to various activities and events in the community. Critical Success Factors Energetic, personable, enthusiastic, creative, and imaginative. Able to communicate intentions and directions to residents and staff and be an effective, empathetic listener. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Prefer a college degree in Recreation Therapy or Human Services and/or two (2) years of equivalent work experience in the field. Prior experience in small group socialization and creative programming for older adults preferred. Prior experience in managing staff and volunteers. Current CPR/first aid certification. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no major violations. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision. 401K. PTO. More benefits available. Pay Rate $21 - $22 or DOE.
