About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Talent Strategy to play a pivotal role in the organization's mission-driven multimedia landscape. The successful candidate will be the principal architect and strategic scout for creative, journalistic, and host talent, working closely with the Chief Content Officer and editorial leadership to align talent acquisition and career stewardship with the company's long-term vision. This executive will be responsible for nurturing relationships with established talent while actively seeking and attracting emerging voices from various media platforms. A key aspect of the role is to ensure that all talent recruitment and partner strategies reflect the company's core mission, journalistic ethics, and commitment to public service. The VP will also be involved in audience forecasting, metric analysis, and embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into talent initiatives. Applicants must have a minimum of 12 years' of executive leadership experience in talent management, media recruiting, or creative talent strategy, with a proven track record of building and sustaining diverse talent rosters. The role requires a candidate with a strong network of professional relationships, experience in complex contract negotiations, and a commitment to editorial independence. Preferred qualifications include experience in a federated media network and familiarity with digital audio and podcast monetization. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional diplomatic skills, strategic collaboration abilities, and a forward-looking perspective on audience and format vision. A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical work experience is required.
