Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

PACU – Nursing36 hours per week, night shift. Weekend requirements are 1–2 shifts in a 4-week schedule.This position is for a Phase I PACU with a capacity of 20 beds.RequirementsMinimum 2 years of RN experience.ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.Experience in Trauma Level I preferred.Experience in electronic charting systems is required.Ability to manage post-operative care for adult and geriatric patients, including monitoring for pain and dysrhythmias.Knowledge in managing ventilated patients and administering IV vasopressors.Experience with central line care and ICP monitoring preferred.ResponsibilitiesProvide Phase I PACU care, including monitored anesthesia care and conscious sedation.Perform post-operative pain assessments and manage patient-controlled analgesia (PCA).Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias.Educate patients and families about postoperative care and recovery processes.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Compliance / NotesOhio fingerprinting must be completed urgently after booking. A valid compact or state RN license is required at the time of submission.
