Key Responsibilities

• Carry out physician orders, administer medications, perform initial patient assessments, and develop plans of care within the Interventional Radiology suite
• Insert and remove intravenous lines, review lab results, and monitor patient medical history throughout the care continuum
• Oversee patient safety and comfort before, during, and after interventional procedures; provide education to patients and families regarding procedures, follow-up care, and discharge instructions
• Assist as circulator or scrub-in support for the IR technologist during procedures as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation covering nights and weekends in collaboration with the IR team
• Work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with facility staff in accordance with facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Florida Registered Nurse license or valid compact licensure in accordance with state regulations
• Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer
• NIHSS Stroke Education Certification required with a minimum of 1 year of related experience
• Minimum 1 year of Critical Care, ICU, or Emergency Room experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous Interventional Radiology experience in a hospital setting
• Experience with Meditech EMR and McKesson PACS systems
• Strong critical thinking skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment
