Authorization Specialist – Bluegrass Pediatric Therapies Bluegrass Pediatric Therapies (BPT) is seeking an Authorization Specialist to join our private outpatient pediatric therapy team serving children and families in Richmond and Winchester, Kentucky. This position is a full‑time (38–40 hours weekly) Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m., with flexible scheduling options based on clinic needs. Responsibilities Obtain 100–150 insurance authorizations per week. Communicate with insurance companies to verify coverage and obtain authorizations. Track authorization status and follow up as needed to ensure patients receive services without interruption. Coordinate with clinicians and the administrative team on scheduling, physician orders, and billing. Qualifications Highly organized, dependable, and able to solve problems efficiently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for supporting children and families and a collaborative team spirit. Previous experience with insurance authorizations or medical billing is not required; comprehensive training will be provided for the right candidate.
