Staff Accountant

Location: Princeton Area (Primarily Onsite with Some Hybrid Flexibility)


Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing, privately held company in the identification software, security, and sound equipment industry. This is a newly created role driven by a recent upgrade within the accounting function under new leadership. The company offers a collaborative environment and strong opportunity for professional growth.


About the Company:

• Privately held, family-owned organization in growth mode
• U.S.-based distribution with products manufactured internationally
• Accounting team of 4 (Controller, 2 Senior Accountants, and 1 transactional team member)
• Recently transitioned ERP systems from Sage to NetSuite
• US GAAP compliant

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze cash reporting
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger
• Assist with balance sheet and financial statement preparation
• Record journal entries and accruals
• Support month-end close process
• Conduct financial analysis and support reporting needs
• Assist with inventory-related accounting and reconciliation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 2 years of accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience working in an ERP system (NetSuite a plus)
• Proficiency in Excel
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
