Specimen Processor I
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I in Nashville to prepare and process laboratory specimens for testing. The role involves unpacking, labeling, routing, and shipping samples while maintaining accurate data entry in a high-volume environment, working Monday–Friday 4pm–12:30am with rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
- Unpack, route, identify, label, and pack specimens for shipment
- Perform clinical specimen accessioning and sample sorting per procedures
- Enter patient information accurately and timely in laboratory systems
- Resolve, document, and prepare excess specimen samples for storage
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs
- Able to pass colorblindness test
