IT Program Manager

DescriptionKforce's client in Saint Louis, MO is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a high-profile, multi-year initiative focused on modernizing and enhancing enterprise threat and vulnerability management capabilities. This individual will operate in a player/coach capacity, overseeing the overall program while directly leading several projects within the portfolio. Hybrid or remote work arrangements are available - Kansas City or Saint Louis preferred.Key Responsibilities:* Lead a multi-year enterprise program focused on improving and modernizing threat and vulnerability management capabilities* Operate in a player/coach role, providing both strategic program leadership and hands-on project management support across multiple workstreams* Establish and maintain program governance, executive reporting, roadmaps, budgets, risk registers, and dependency management processes* Coordinate efforts across cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, operations, architecture, vendor, and business teams* Drive alignment and accountability across multiple stakeholders while ensuring program objectives remain on track* Identify program risks, surface critical decisions, and facilitate executive-level decision making* Develop concise executive communications, presentations, and leadership briefings* Translate complex technical topics into clear business-focused messaging for senior leaders* Build structure and momentum in ambiguous or rapidly evolving environmentsRequirements* 10+ years of project and/or program management experience in large-scale enterprise environments* Proven experience leading complex, multi-workstream technology programs* Exceptional executive presence and communication skills* Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes without direct authority* Strong strategic thinking, organizational leadership, and stakeholder management skills* Experience managing budgets, schedules, risks, dependencies, and governance processes across large initiatives* Ability to quickly assess organizational challenges and implement practical solutionsDesired "Paratrooper" Characteristics:* Adaptability: Quickly learns new technologies, business domains, vendor relationships, and organizational structures without extensive onboarding* Courage Under Pressure: Leads difficult conversations, escalates risks appropriately, challenges assumptions, and drives decisions during critical situations* Self-Reliance: Identifies gaps, establishes structure, and drives progress independently* Problem Solving: Breaks down complex technical and organizational challenges to identify root causes and practical solutions* Resilience: Maintains momentum despite scope changes, budget pressures, leadership transitions, vendor issues, or technical setbacks* Teamwork: Builds strong relationships across engineering, security, infrastructure, operations, vendors, and business leadership teams* Rapid Relationship Building: Quickly establishes credibility and trust with new teams and stakeholders* Discipline: Maintains rigorous control of schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, decisions, and executive communicationsJob TypeContractCompensation63 - $86
