Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for surgical patients throughout the intraoperative period
• Prepare the operating room, ensure sterile technique, and assist with procedures as directed
• Monitor patient condition during surgery and coordinate with the surgical team, anesthesia, and circulating nurses
• Collect relevant data, document care, and participate in post-operative planning and recovery processes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to promote patient safety, comfort, and efficient workflow
• Direct and supervise assigned nursing staff, delegating tasks as appropriate and maintaining a safe environment
• Educate patients and families about perioperative care and discharge expectations

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• At least two years of recent experience in a field-related acute care setting preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Ability to work in an operating room environment and participate in a travel assignment with on-call requirements
