Primary Care Physician

Optum NV is seeking a Family Practice Physician to join their team in Las Vegas, NV. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse adult patient panel, including geriatrics and older adolescents, in a clinician-led organization. Optum provides extensive clinical resources, data, and support to empower physicians in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to new practice initiatives.

Practice Info

• Work with other physicians in teams while managing your own panel of patients.
• Patient population includes adults of all ages, geriatrics, and some older adolescents, with customization for interest areas.
• Seniors have access to new Lifestyle Centers.
• Work in attractive/modern buildings with an electronic medical record environment.
• Full-time management staff, digital radiology, and onsite laboratory services are available at 14 clinic locations throughout the Las Vegas area.
• Employed practice position with Southwest Medical, part of Optum.

Compensation

• $100,000 Sign on Bonus for external candidates.

• The salary range for this role is $245,000 to $366,000 annually based on full-time employment.

Requirements

• Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Residency trained, board certified or board eligible.
• Ability to obtain Nevada license, DEA, Pharmacy license.
• Medical knowledge about established and evolving biomedical, clinical, epidemiological and social behavioral sciences and application of this knowledge to patient care.
• Interpersonal and communication skills that result in effective information exchange and collaboration with patients, their families and other health professionals.
• Possession of or acquisition of sufficient computer skills to effectively utilize Electronic Medical Records in their practice.
• Practice-based learning and improvement that involves investigation and evaluation of their own patient care, appraisal and assimilation of scientific evidence and improvements in patient care.
