Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (30-minute lunch) | One Saturday per month (4 hours, flexible timing)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services on a Medical Rehabilitation Unit within a trauma hospital setting, with a primary patient population including stroke patients
• Deliver approximately 8 treatments per day within a fully equipped OT gym, including a kitchen and a wide variety of therapeutic technology
• Collaborate closely with Physical Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology teams to support comprehensive patient care
• Document patient care and progress using Cerner electronic health records
• Participate in one Saturday per month for a 4-hour shift at a time of your choosing

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience
• Active West Virginia OT license or compact license required to practice; pending license accepted for submission
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• 2 Manager or Charge Nurse references from within the past 2 years required at time of submission
• Must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with stroke or neurological rehabilitation patient populations
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record system
• Experience in an acute care or inpatient rehabilitation setting
