Job Summary
The Internal Medicine Technician Supervisor serves as the primary liaison for the Internal Medicine Department, ensuring smooth daily operations and high-quality patient care. This role is on the clinical floor, addressing technical inquiries, resolving operational concerns, and supporting the Department Manager by overseeing the technical team.
Bonus Opportunity
Total Bonus Opportunity for Registered Veterinary Technicians: $10,000
- 5,000 Sign-On Bonus
- 2,500 retention bonus at 12 months
- 2,500 retention bonus at 24 months – Subject to eligibility and bonus agreement terms.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor technical staff, assign daily responsibilities and case support based on doctor rounds and departmental needs.
Coordinate with doctors to optimize workflow and report any patient or doctor-related concerns promptly.
Ensure daily cleaning and maintenance of treatment areas and specialized equipment such as endoscopes and ultrasound machines.
Maintain accurate inventory of medications and supplies.
Partner with the Department Manager to identify training needs and coordinate skill development opportunities.
Participate in weekly meetings with the Department Manager to review and strategize departmental performance and improve workplace culture.
Leading With Your Heart & Hands
Inspire the department’s technical staff to ensure high-quality performance and efficient workflow aligned with departmental and hospital-wide goals.
Provide support to ACCESS to promote hospital-wide success.
Ensure team members are proficient in technical procedures relevant to Internal Medicine.
Participate in onboarding of new team members.
Key Qualifications
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
Strong focus on cleanliness and thoroughness in all tasks.
Ability to direct a team to promote efficiency and quality care.
Willingness to respond positively to requests from staff and work effectively with others.
Availability on weekends as required.
Ability to multi‑task and work on several different projects simultaneously.
Great work ethic and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
Self‑starter who is able to work with and without direct supervision.
Minimum five years' experience in the veterinary field.
ACA 3 or higher (RVT preferred).

Compensation
$22 – $40/hr, depending upon experience/skills.
