Substitute Teacher

Substitute Teacher Per diem position Perelman Jewish Day School, a Pre-Kindergarten to 5th Grade independent school in the Philadelphia area, is seeking a motivated team player to join our community as a Substitute Teacher. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Partner proactively with faculty and administration to support diverse learners in the areas of academic, behavioral, and social/emotional learning Collaborate with team members to plan and implement instruction, fostering student curiosity and engagement Participate in faculty meetings Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education, or equivalent experience, required Strong knowledge of developmental needs of young children and appropriate curricula that meet those needs Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills Exceptional written and oral communication skills Technology skills including: Familiarity with Apple products (such as MacBooks and iPads), Chromebooks, projectors, etc… High-energy and enthusiastic about working in the Jewish day school atmosphere Perelman Jewish Day School provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
