Assurance Manager [Financial Services Group]

Job Title: Assurance Manager – San Francisco, CA (Hybrid). This role supports the Financial Services Industry team by leading high‑profile audits and attestation engagements for private equity, hedge funds, and other alternative investment funds. Responsibilities Drive client engagements and deliver audit, tax, and value‑creation solutions. Prepare financial statements, footnotes, workpapers, management letters, and other attestation documents. Apply professional judgment to identify and resolve client issues and propose operational improvements. Analyze complex client transactions, researching and consulting as needed. Use firm resources to complete assignments on time and within scope. Mentor, train, and develop staff level team members. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a public accounting firm. Financial Services industry experience required. Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills – knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards. Bachelor’s degree (required) and CPA licensure (required). Excellent client‑service, communication, and presentation skills. Leadership and mentoring capabilities. Entrepreneurial spirit. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and audit software (CaseWare or ProSystem FX). Superior organizational and written communication abilities.
