Compensation: $47.62 - $56.39 per hour

Position Overview

Our organization, located in Belleville, provides a comprehensive range of healthcare services to the northern New Jersey community. With a team of over 700 physicians and 2,100 staff members, we deliver advanced medical treatments for numerous health conditions. Our facility features specialized centers for wound care, sleep disorders, bariatrics, orthopedics, cardiac services, cancer treatment, emergency care, and more. In 2017, we completed a significant expansion, introducing a modern four-story building that includes a private 32-bed Intensive Care Unit, a new main entrance and lobby, a retail pharmacy, a patient registration area, and an expanded emergency department.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Associate degree in nursing
  • Active RN License in New Jersey or a Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire
• Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
  • At least two years of RN experience in Critical Care or Telemetry

Scheduling Requirements

• Full Time
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend is required; weekday scheduling will vary based on departmental needs

Key Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for organizing and delivering personalized, age-appropriate care to patients within a designated unit of the hospital, supporting overall medical care. The RN will adhere to the philosophy, objectives, mission, and vision of our organization and the Nursing Department. Responsibilities include:

• Practicing in compliance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements, and other regulatory standards.
• Engaging in patient education and discharge planning.
• Participating in unit performance improvement evaluation activities.
