Warehouse Manager

Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the warehouse—including shipping & receiving, purchasing, product delivery, budgeting, inventory control, warehouse safety, and housekeeping. Supervise warehouse staff. Coordinate and evaluate training; interview, hire, and train employees. Plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems. Develop and implement improved methods of materials handling, stock control, and packaging to promote efficiency, service, and reduced costs. Qualifications High school diploma or General Education Development (GED). Three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver's license. Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification. Preferred: product and application knowledge; electrical product materials‑handling experience; background in wholesale electrical distribution. Physical Demands Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and stooping. Occasional sitting, talking/hearing; frequent use of hands/fingers. Lifting and carrying continuous 1–20lbs; frequent 21–50lbs; occasional 51–100lbs; use of buddy‑lift or mechanical device is advised. Vision Requirements Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more). Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point). Depth perception (three‑dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
