This opportunity is for a licensed Pharmacist to provide coverage during a leave of absence at an infusion pharmacy supporting a cancer center. The ideal candidate will bring current chemo/oncology pharmacy experience to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Location:
- Oxnard, CA
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No nights or weekends
Duration:
- Approximately 13 weeks, with potential for extension
- Start date to be determined, possibly beginning in January
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense chemotherapy and oncology medications accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate closely with the cancer center care team to ensure proper drug utilization and patient therapy plans
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety protocols specific to oncology pharmacy practice
- Provide detailed medication counseling and support to patients and healthcare staff
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid California Pharmacist license
- Proven, current experience in chemotherapy and oncology pharmacy services
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed to the assignment location
This contract assignment offers consistent daytime hours without weekends or nights, ideal for professionals seeking a focused oncology role with structured scheduling.
