The University of Kansas Health System – Great Bend Campus is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join its Laboratory team. This full-time night shift role offers a unique 7-on/7-off schedule, allowing for excellent work-life balance while delivering precise and timely diagnostic testing to support exceptional patient care.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Night Shift
- 7 days on / 7 days off schedule
- 3 shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
- 4 shifts: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM (10-hour shifts)
- Weekend rotation required
- Holiday rotation required
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing and analysis according to established procedures.
- Ensure accuracy, quality control, and compliance with laboratory standards.
- Operate laboratory equipment and maintain proper documentation.
- Analyze patient specimens and report results promptly.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) experience required.
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to laboratory quality standards.
Pay
- Hourly Pay: $24–$34/hour (based on experience)
