Mussel & Burger Bar Busser

Job Summary & Scope: 

The Busser plays a key role in delivering exceptional dining service by ensuring that dining  areas are set up efficiently and kept organized throughout service. This position requires an  individual who is attentive to detail, works efficiently, and maintains a high standard of  cleanliness. They are responsible for setting, resetting, and cleaning tables between  guests, ensuring prompt availability of seating while upholding the highest standards of  sanitation and safety. Ideally, they will possess a polite and friendly demeanor, contributing  positively to the overall guest experience and supporting the team with professionalism. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Prepare dining areas before the start of the shift, ensuring all tables are set up  according to company standards. 

• Clear tables promptly after guests have finished their meal, removing dishes,  glasses, and silverware efficiently. 

• Reset tables between guests, ensuring they are clean, properly stocked, and ready  for the next guests in a timely manner. 

• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring that the dining area is always  in top condition. 

• Follow all safety, sanitation, and health protocols, ensuring the dining area is  consistently safe and hygienic for both guests and staff. 

• Work collaboratively with wait staff, kitchen, and management to maintain a  smooth and efficient service flow. 

• Assist in the overall upkeep of the restaurant, including managing waste disposal  and cleaning duties as necessary. 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

• Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is  desirable. 

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact  effectively with guests and team members. 

• Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, squatting, standing,  and lifting heavy objects as required.

• Friendly and helpful attitude with a strong commitment to providing excellent  service. 

• Familiarity with general sanitation and safety practices in a food service  environment. 

• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and  holidays as needed.
