Residential Construction Superintendent

We are looking for an experienced construction superintendent who can lead our labor crew and subcontractors. You'll help our construction company plan and manage projects from start to finish for homeowners. Additional responsibilities include daily scheduling, maintaining the safety and compliance of a construction site, and supervising all activities. Our ideal candidate has at least 5 years of construction field experience with leadership skills in managing general contractors, highly preferred. Responsibilities: • Require complete adherence to health and safety regulations on construction sites to avoid accidents and delays, and report any problems to the project manager as soon as possible • Submit a plan for homeowners that includes a cost estimate for the job • Analyze subcontractor productivity toward timelines and performance goals to ensure that the project is on schedule to be finished on budget and to the highest possible quality • Ensure that each construction project produces a high-quality finished product, manage construction workers, conduct routine on-site inspections, and provide guidance as needed • Log daily records of progress and repair updates for the project manager and homeowner Qualifications: • Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office • Knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building permits, building codes, construction equipment, material resources, construction methods, and project management principles • Superb organizational, leadership, time-management, and communication skills • Stamina for operating heavy equipment and lifting 40 pounds or more • General contractor's license required 18 months of experience in construction, restoration, or renovationsCapable of reading and understanding blueprints, specifications, and reportsAbility to participate in a rotational after-hours on-call scheduleExperience with Xactimate is a huge plusDetail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitaskMust be self-disciplined to consistently handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 yearly
