Ready for a Purpose Built Career For over 60 years OBrien Construction has worked to enhance the quality of our communities through our expertise as team builders and constructors specializing in multi family housing municipal and commercial buildings We are a Construction Manager and General Contractor with a mission to develop lasting relationships built on mutual trust and respect OBrien Construction builds so much more than senior housing and historical renovations Were building trust pride and a better world than it was yesterday one job at a time Because thats what it means to be Purpose Built Building a career is like building anything else it takes the right plan the right team and the right commitment When you work with OBrien Construction we can promise you will accomplish work youll be proud of work with great people and grow both the community and your career About the Role Superintendents at OBrien Construction play a critical role in the successful execution of construction projects Leading dedicated project teams you will be responsible for overseeing all field operations from inception to completion This includes managing schedules allocating resources ensuring quality and safety and maintaining strong client relationships The ideal candidate will have proven experience delivering licensed senior living communities and working with cold formed steel building systems in multi family construction environments Responsibilities Thoroughly understand and adhere to project plans specifications contracts and requirementsDevelop and implement comprehensive project schedules ensuring timely progress towards key milestonesServe as the primary point of contact and company representative for subcontractorsServe as the primary point of contact and company representative for City State and County inspectorsMaintain a safe work environment by enforcing all safety regulations and managing safety risks proactivelyManage and communicate resource needs including materials equipment and manpowerConduct regular inspections of subcontractor work ensuring compliance with plans specifications and codesPrepare and submit daily progress reports and weekly Look Ahead schedulesEffectively communicate project status potential issues and progress to Project Managers and Project EngineersContinuously seek and implement industry best practices and innovative solutionsProactively identify and resolve project challenges using available knowledge and resourcesUphold the companys commitment to integrity and ethical conduct ensuring the same for the entire project teamPerform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma required; Bachelors Degree in Construction Management preferredMinimum 7 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial or multi family building projectsDemonstrated experience supervising in Multifamily building types including coordination of framing MEP rough ins and inspectionsWorking knowledge of regulatory requirements inspections and life safety considerations associated with licensed senior living constructionProven ability to lead and motivate teamsStrong problem solving analytical and critical thinking skillsExcellent communication interpersonal and organizational skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction specific software scheduling project managementStrong work ethic with a results oriented approachAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCommit to safety and quality Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package Paid time off tuition reimbursement and opportunities for career advancement #J-18808-Ljbffr Laurus
