Position Overview:

This role involves assisting in procedures aimed at analyzing, diagnosing, and treating cardiovascular conditions. You will perform specialized imaging tasks, including angiography, complex vascular and non-vascular procedures, as well as neuro-interventional and therapeutic procedures, while supporting the Radiologist or Physician Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain at least 30% of FTE in a secondary modality to qualify for a Multiple Modality position.
• Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical histories, positioning them, and preparing testing sites as necessary.
• Interpret, describe, and report test results; identify recording errors and artifacts, responding appropriately.
• Ensure equipment, supplies, and lab areas are well-maintained and functioning properly; report any issues to the relevant personnel.
• Assist in keeping the department clean and organized.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications in accordance with accepted practices and regulations.
• Monitor patients during procedures and report any unusual activity; suggest updates to protocols as needed.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory agency standards.
• May conduct point-of-care testing as per established policies.
• Maintain a state of alertness and safety at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education:

• Completion of a Cardiovascular or Radiology Technology program

Experience:

• No prior experience required

Physical Requirements:

• Constant standing and walking.
• Frequent use of vision for near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances.
• Regular use of hearing and speech for effective communication.
• Ability to distinguish body sounds and detect alarms or equipment malfunctions.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Regularly assist in lifting and moving patients.
• Frequent reaching, gripping, and data entry tasks.
• Occasional lifting of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
• Occasional visual tasks requiring color differentiation.
• Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements.
• Rarely kneeling or sitting.
